GBvi will be demonstrating a two-channel blended 4K display with GBvi Atlas-4 Projector Mounts and the latest generation of GBvi Chronos Glass: Greyscale blend plate technology, Norxe P50 4K NXL DLP projectors, Scalable Display Technologies’ ScalableDesktop, and AMST VISIM Image Generator on stand #D46 at IT²EC 2023 in Rotterdam, Netherlands, from April 24th to 26th.

IT²EC is Europe’s primary forum where stakeholders from military, government, industry and academia connect and share knowledge about training, simulation and education technologies, taking place in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

GBvi’s collaboration with Norxe, Scalable Display Technologies and AMST for this year’s event will see all partners on a shared stand where the demonstration will be hosted.

Speaking about the collaboration for IT²EC, GBvi’s CTO, Geoff Blackham, commented, “We are proud to have such a universally compatible range of products at GBvi and are excited to show how our solutions can work together with those of some of our partners at this year’s IT²EC.”

Chronos Glass: Greyscale is the specialist GBvi optical blend technology, compatible with all projector illumination types such as laser, LED and laser-phosphor, and with all projector light outputs and resolutions. GBvi’s Chronos range of optical blending solutions enable display system integrators to achieve an even black level across multi-channel projection displays, realising the maximum dynamic range and enhancing the perception of life-like imagery.

For the first time, GBvi’s Chronos Glass: Greyscale blend plate technology is now shipping in multiple sizes from 203.2×165.1 to 457.2 x 254mm (8”x5” to 18”x10”). The product range is also now available in different thickness options, with new 2.4mm plates now available which reduces mass for motion simulation installations.

GBvi’s latest greyscale technology has been developed in-house to provide blend masks that have genuine ‘variable density’, opening up new options and combinations of projector and display types. Artifact-free projected throughput is achieved to result in perfect blends and even hot-spot correction in rear-projected display environments.

GBvi’s Atlas-4 projector mount robustly interfaces a projector to a display system support structure while providing all the necessary mechanical adjustments to optimise projection geometry.  Existing Atlas-4 variants offer mounts for Barco, Norxe, Sony, Panasonic and Canon simulation projectors, while high configurability means that other projectors are easy to introduce.
